Incredible bad luck for a Polish footballer abroad. Same thing again! Football

In July 2023, Maik Nawrocki swapped Legia Warsaw for Celtic Glasgow, who paid five million euros for him. However, he did not play much for the 54-time Scottish champions, because he suffered a thigh injury at the very beginning of the season. From August to December, he missed 18 matches in a row, and only between December and February did he get a real chance in Premiership.

Maik Nawrocki injured again. Pole's bad luck at Celtic Glasgow

In total, Nawrocki has made 13 appearances for Celitc in the 2023/24 season. However, before the start of the next season, the Pole could count on a permanent place in the Glasgow team after working through the preparation period.

The 23-year-old made his first appearance in the first friendly against Ayr, but played only 19 minutes. Due to the injury, he had to leave the pitch, and as it turns out, it was not a completely harmless situation. “A few days ago, during a friendly, he had to leave the pitch after a dozen or so minutes, and the diagnosis was a strained calf muscle,” writes Tomasz Hatta on the X website.

At worst accident such an injury could mean a seven-week layoff. We can only hope that Nawrocki's condition is not that serious. However, the Pole missed another friendly with Queens Park and it is not known when he will return to the pitch.

Before the start of the season, Celtic will play some friendlies with DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea. The first round of the Premiership season is scheduled for August 4, and the Glasgow team will face Kilmarnock. Nawrocki may be ready to play by then.
